ARTISTS WILL BE CREATING CHALK ART FROM 8am TO 2pm
What we’re doing:
Funds from this year’s Chalk Walk will be used to create a themed fiberglass prototype for a city-wide Public Art Project for citizens of Friendswood and visitors to our area.
The benefit will take place at the corner of 2351/518 on May 6, 2017, from 8-2, in front of participating stores like: Friendswood Frame & Gallery, Charleston Tea Room, Two Friends, Ace Hardware, Starmaker Dancewear, Stefano’s Pizza, Ellie’s Kitchen, Silver Bee Boutique, Texture, TCBY, Mambo 2 Fitness, Sundance Yoga, Merle Norman, and more.
How it Works:
Artists will create 3’x3’ original works of Chalk Art on the sidewalks in front of participating stores. The community is encouraged to walk the sidewalks viewing artists at work while visiting local stores for shopping, raffles and light refreshments.
You may donate your Time, Treasure, or Talents by:
Purchasing a $100 sidewalk “square” (3’x3’), and filling it in yourself with an original Chalk Art creation.
Purchasing a $100 sidewalk “square” (3’x3’), and sponsor a local artist to fill it in with an original Chalk Art creation. Sponsoring an artist gets your family or company name advertised on the artwork.
