STAY TUNED FOR CHALK WALK 2020

About:

Funds from Chalk Walk events, located at the corner of FM 518 and FM 2351, are used to create public art in the City of Friendswood. Past Chalk Walk events are responsible for sculptures at both Stevenson Park and the Friendswood Animal Shelter.

How it Works:

Artists create 3’x3’ original works of Chalk Art on the sidewalks in front of participating stores. The community is encouraged to walk the sidewalks viewing artists at work while visiting local stores for shopping.

People donate Time, Treasure, or Talents by:

  • Purchasing a $100 sidewalk “square” (3’x3’), and filling it in themselves with an original Chalk Art creation.

  • Purchasing a $100 sidewalk “square” (3’x3’), and sponsoring a local artist to fill it in with an original Chalk Art creation. Sponsoring an artist gets the sponsors’ family or company name advertised on the artwork.

  • Volunteering - Contact is Luis Briones at 281-482-2202

  • Completing a square.

REGISTRATIONS are online by clicking on the Sponsor/Artist Registration tab above,  in person by visiting Friendswood Frame & Gallery, 150 S. Friendswood Drive, Friendswood, or at participating stores in Captain’s Corner Shopping Center.
